Early Pioneer /Veteran or vintage motorcycle flywheel marked with E 15725 good keyway with Sprocket Blackburne, Calthorpe, Levis, Douglas, Other?
This flywheel came to me with some other early Pioneer / Veteran & vintage motorcycle parts.
It’s in decent condition. The sprocket is OK and the keyway is in good condition.
- The overall diameter is 10″
- The keyway diameter is 5/8″ inside diameter tapering to 3/4″ on the sprocket side.
- It weighs 8lbs 11 oz or about 3.9kg
It is what it is, I suppose. A big round lump of metal with a shaped hole in the middle. But, it is an original part and this one has some numbers stamped. On its own, it is stamped with an E. Almost opposite, and on the edge, it is stamped with 15725. I guess that’s either a part number, or maybe relates to the engine number.
If it relates to a frame or engine number it is in the date-range for the 1914 2-3/4 Douglas models T, U, V, W respectively, ladies Model X. Just a guess.
