1920s James V-Twin motorcycle clutch & gearbox components.

Well, that’s what I believe these parts are for. I am selling them for a friend. He has a single cylinder 350cc James and used to have a V-Twin. These are spares and are not required. He advises me that they are for the V-twin model. Please check the images for your own satisfaction.

James brought out a twin in 1914. In 1923, James brought out the Model 12 3-1/2 H.P. version. I think the famous “pineapple” James was around just before the Model 12. I’m not an expert in James motorcycles, but I think the Model 12 ran past 1930. In 1932 they launched the D1 500cc V-Twin motorbike.

I think these components are likely for the Model 12. If you know for certain, please let me know. If you are guessing, I can do that …. 🙂

Why buy these 1920s James V-Twin motorcycle clutch & gearbox components? If you have one of these motorcycles, then you already know why. Great for spares. Fantastic as an insurance policy and will help to complete the project.

There are too many clutch and gearbox parts to list. Please use the main image as your guide as to what is included. As you can see, there are some very useful parts. To save you counting, the clutch sprocket has 32 teeth.

Condition of the James V-Twin motorcycle clutch & gearbox components

They are all used. The teeth on the clutch basket are still good. The teeth on the gears are fine but with some wear. There is a small chunk out of the second tooth on the kick starter. Other than those comments, you are looking at a lot of useful parts that need a clean.

Other James motorcycle parts

Apart from this  selection of James V-Twin motorcycle clutch & gearbox components, I have a kick start lever and small original gear selection lever. The one that mounts directly on the gearbox. Not the hand lever itself. Take a look at the parts for sale. If they are not there, please ask.
