The case has no cracks or weld repairs. It’s grubby and I imagine it will need a clean inside.
It is sold for refurbishment even though it all seems to be there.
Ideal as a spare or to finish off that project bike build.
I’m no NSU expert. I am reliably informed that this nice little 3-speed NSU gearbox is for the 198cc 5hp single NSU 201Z. However, there are similar models in the early 1930’s 2-strike range. They are:175ZD, 175Z, 251Z. The gearbox may fit them too.
As I’m not an expert, please check the images carefully. If you have any doubts, please don’t go ahead and buy. I am happy to provide dimensions. Please tell me which dimensions you need.
The gearbox has a number: 19593. This may help you to date it.
