BSA Model L / S 1920s Best & Lloyd oil drip feed regulator, sight glass & pump flat tank vintage motorcycle.
It might suit other BSA models.
It’s the regulator with the two outlets on the underside.
The glass is cracked. It can be bought from the VMCC, along with new washers. The regulator dial can be bought too. I can put you in contact with the supplier as I have had discussions with them about parts for my other Best and Lloyd hand oil pumps.
This is an old pump, with an extremely good spring. It clips into place as it should. It has not been refurbished. It has just been preserved. In fact, it sat in a drawer in a well-known vintage motorcycle manufacturers office until the building was pulled down. The filter is still in place at the bottom of the pump.
The regular cylindrical Best and Lloyd regulators are easier to find. BSA ones are not so easy.
I am happy to discuss swapping a part (or parts) for an early Douglas 2 and 3/4, such as tank parts including an oil pump, or a carburettor as I could do with those. Otherwise, it’s for sale.
International shipping available.
Viewing: Please come and check it over before you buy. It is at PE28, near St Ives in Cambridgeshire.
Shipping: I usually ship to most destinations. If you don’t see a price, please ask. Thanks. International shipping available.
Collection: If you don’t want it shipped, I have plenty of space. If you can’t collect for a while, it’s not a problem. However, I will need to be paid very soon after the sale. Thanks.
Payment: Good old fashioned money on collection is preferred. I can accept payment through PayPal or by bank transfer as well.
Import Taxes: (I need to mention this as I had someone buy something from me and they were based in Europe. They thought I should list the item including all taxes and shipping. Considering import duties vary enormously, this is impractical even if it was possible). Please note that IMPORT DUTIES are not something I can control. If you are buying from outside the UK, there is a chance that you will have to pay import taxes. Import taxes vary from country to country. If there are charges to pay, it is the buyer’s responsibility to research the cost and pay the duties. The price that you see on my advert is for the item and not the item plus whatever taxes might be due.
