Early 1960’s Triumph Splayed Twin Carb Ali Cylinder head E3663 T120 Bonneville TR6 T110 650cc.
For the twin carb T120 Bonneville. Either Unit or pre-unit around 1959 on. But, I guess you could change your single carb TR6 T110 into a dual carb motor by using this cylinder head.
This is the 8-stud version. The head has a cast number “E3663” and is also cast with the year – 1964. There is space to drill this head in the centre to convert it to the later type with 9-studs.
Condition of this Triumph Splayed Twin Carb Ali Cylinder head.
The fins look nice. The chambers look good too, considering they are used and over 60 years old. The head does not appear to have had the usual crack repairs near the 2 inner stud holes and the exhaust valves. If it has been repaired, then it has been done extremely well. Suffice to say that I don’t see any cracks either. The mounts for the rocker boxes are good too.
If you take a look on the underside, near one of the exhaust ports, you will see a small hole. It’s very neat and will have no effect on functionality. I suspect it has been drilled in the past when someone had an issue with the screw-in mount not holding tight. They probably put a screw in there. It can easily be filled.
