James or New Imperial Model 30 lightweight Webb girder forks with blades and steering head / headstock.
I have provided some dimension and cast numbers to help you decide if these are correct for your needs. My guess is that these are for a lightweight James. I guess they will suit several lightweight motorcycles.
As you can see, they are used but complete apart from the stem top nut. The top stem thread is OK. The spring is a little crusty on the outside but still decent. The wheel spindle holes are still in good shape.
- Cast numbers look like they are 1017 and 1018.
- Between axle and top pivot centre lines is 23 + 3/4″ (spindle centres)
- The axle to lower pivot centres is 16 + 3/8″ (spindle centres)
- The width inner face to inner face is 4 1/4″.
- all measurements are approximate.
If you need other dimensions, please ask.
So, if you have an Excelsior, James or New Imperial lightweight motorcycle project that needs some Webb girder forks with blades and steering head / headstock, then here’s a chance to get a set.
