Joseph Lucas #310 King of the Road Nickel plated carbide acetylene front lamp for flat tank vintage veteran motorcycles
This front light is one of a number from a collection. They are all now going up for sale as I have no need for them.
This Lucas front lamp is in nice used condition. There are parts of paint missing and the nickel plate is dull. It would suit a machine with a little patina.
It’s a lovely size. The lens diameter is 3″ and the lens aperture rim is 4.25″.
The hinge and clip fastening work well. The reflector is very nice. There’s a chance that this reflector has been replaced as it’s almost too good. The wick is there. The glass lens is good and free of cracks.
This small lamp has a clip-on style of fastening at the rear. It doesn’t have the two fastenings at the sides.
These little lamps are hard to find now. They are especially difficult to find in this condition, with a little patina.
