Lightweight 1938 Rudge 250 Sports engine.
The engine number is clear and unmolested. The number range is right in the middle of the 1938 production range.
The engine cases have matching numbers.
The fins on both the head and the barrel are good.
It comes with the BTH magneto that you see. This is untested. Consider that it needs rebuilding. At least it comes with the engine.
It does not turn over by hand. It has been stood for quite a while So, consider this as a rebuild project. Also, there is bound to be a few fixings missing.
I happen to have a frame for a late 30’s Rudge 250 Sports.. It will be listed separately.
