Pair of original 1960’s Craven Safari Panniers / luggage set in baby blue.
They would suit a nice period 60’s bike.
After a little research, I have settled on these being the “Safari” model of the Craven pannier range. The previous owner has had them re-painted. they were originally supplied in white or black. Anyway, I suppose you can paint them again to suit your needs.
The original Craven saddlebags, luggage and panniers catalogue suggests that the Craven Safari model would suit smaller, lightweight, motorcycles up to 250cc. So that they didn’t miss any sales, they go on to suggest that they would suit heavier machines! I think they are very neat and not too big. I think they would grace any BSA, Triumph, AJS or Matchless.
They are 15″ x 15″x 5.25″. I don’t have the mounts.
They are in decent condition. They have a few very light scuffs and marks. Please look at the images carefully. The front and back catches work. There are no keys.
