Powell & Hanmer P&H Small nickel plated carbide front lamp for flat tank vintage veteran motorcycles.
This light is one of a number from my collection. They are all now going up for sale as I have no need for all of them.
This P & H front lamp is quite small. It would probably suit a Pioneer, or early veteran, lightweight motorcycle such and a Levis or Douglas 2-3/4. I suppose it could be used on a bicycle, although I doubt that it was ever intended for an antique bicycle.
If you are going for that highly-restored look, then this one might not suit your veteran motorcycle. I currently have a very nice one for sale here
- It has a pair of side mountings.
- The lens diameter is 2.75″. The outer rim is 3.5″ diameter.
Condition of the P&H Small nickel plated carbide front lamp
It’s not perfect. There is some corrosion on the mirror. However, that’s about all that I can pick up on this lamp. It’s original. It looks like it may have been painted black over the nickel plating at some point as there are traces of black paint on the sides of the chimney.
The lends is good and appears to be original. The hinge and cover clip work well. It has a good little wick / burner.
