Pre Unit Triumph 500cc 5T Engine, Magneto & Amal Carburettor (376/19)
I bought this engine to use on a project. It’s now not needed. I bought it just as you see it. I haven’t taken it apart yet. I have taken a peek down the plug holes. The tops of the pistons are not shiny, so assume that the whole engine will need a complete check over. I’m not asking rebuilt money for this motor and bear in mind that it comes with the Mag and the Carb. The gaskets all look new though.
The engine number is 5T 30519. It dates to 1952. The head and barrel are iron and the fins are nice. As you can see, some of the oil lines are there.
Some of the fixings are not there. This includes the timing cover bolts.
