Condition of this Pre Unit Triumph Rigid Frame motorcycle 4-speed gearbox.

It turns smoothly and it’s very clean inside.

The main case has SM T910 as the cast number. This case also has the tacho drive fitted. These pieces on info suggest that this is a later version of the gearbox. The gearbox number is stamped and the number is shown in the images.

• The frame mounts are in good condition
• The clutch adjustment fixing is good
• The cap on the outer cover is non-standard. It is fitted just to keep the dust out. You will need the correct cap to sit tightly
• The outer cover has a variety of fixings.
• The gear shaft has good splines
• It has no gear indicator
• There are no nasty cracks or issues. However, there has been a repair to the inner cover close to the tacho drive. I have shown this in the images.
• Good keyway and drive shaft threads.

If you are looking for a Pre Unit Triumph Rigid Frame motorcycle 4-speed gearbox, this is a good choice. It’s clean and ready for use. Although I would advise that you check it over yourself.

Viewing: Please come and check it over before you buy. It is at PE28, near St Ives in Cambridgeshire.
