Triumph T100 Big Bearing 500cc Twin short engine
This is a decent engine from 1955. The engine number is clear and unmolested – T100 62029.
The big bearing T100 engines are considered the better of the pre-unit 500cc twins. It would be suitable to be paired with the close fin ali head and barrel. happen to have some close fin barrels and heads that will be for sale on here.
This engine has:
- Matching case half numbers (meaning they are paired and have been together since original assembly)
- Pair connecting rods
- Pair pistons
- Decent crank cases without issues.
- The timing gears as you see them in the pictures
- Crank
It is being sold as an engine that will require a rebuild but it’s a very good start for a project bike.
