Triumph TRW motorcycle pre-unit 500cc WD used outer T1275 outer primary chaincase cover.
According to my parts book, this outer primary chaincase cover is for the Triumph TRW 2B, 500cc Side Valve Twin. The detail on the parts list cover is Contract No6 / YEHS / 66762 / CB28B Cat Ref No 28. I believe there might have been earlier outer covers as I have a set numbered T1025.
These cases measure approximately 18.5″ in length.
I haven’t really cleaned this one very much. I cleaned it a bit, just to check for damage and cracks. There’s no evidence of any serious damage. The facings seem fine. There is the odd ding but nothing serious.
There is a feint trace of War Department paint on them. They will clean up nicely.
The alternator stator is untested. Consider it as a free extra. If it works, great.
