For 500cc / 650cc Pre 1960 Triumph T120 Bonneville, T110, T100, 5t Speed Twin, etc.
1955 on to about 1961.
Condition of this Pre Unit Triumph STD RATIO 4-speed Swing Arm gearbox with CLUTCH
It turns smoothly and it’s very clean inside.
This is a very clean 1950’s Triumph motorcycle clutch & gearbox for the swinging arm models. If you are looking for a suitable gearbox for a Rigid framed Triumph motorcycle, please see my other Triumph parts, or ask.
- The frame mounts are in good condition
- The clutch adjustment fixing has been rebuilt and the threads are good
- The clutch appears to be new but has two clutch adjustment screws missing.
- The cap on the outer cover is non-standard. It was fitted by a race engineer.
- The outer cover has a variety of fixings. Again, fitted by a race engineer. Presumably to prevent the cover from coming undone.
- The gear shaft has good splines
- It has the gear indicator
- The no nasty cracks or issues. The is the usual casting issue where one of the cover fixings is too close to the surface. It doesn’t affect the gears.
If you are looking for a Pre Unit Triumph STD RATIO 4-speed Swing Arm gearbox with a CLUTCH, this is a good choice. It’s clean and (with the exception of the two clutch spring adjusters) it’s ready for use.
