1962 Triumph T20 Tiger Cub main frame with swing arm. Pre-1965 Trials competition – SOLD

NOW SOLD

1962 Triumph T20 Tiger Cub main frame with swing arm.

Ideal for Pre-65 Trials as it has a frame number and someone has already added the necessary extra strengthening in the goose neck.

The swing arm will probably be too narrow for a trials set up. I suppose you could always sell the swing arm and put the money towards a wider swing arm. Anyway, it comes with a standard swing arm.

The frame is decent and still has all of the lugs. The engine mounts are good. The frame number is shown in the images.

All of the components could do with a clean up with blasting. However, there is no nasty rust and no bends where there ought not to be.

I’m down-sizing my collection of Cubs and parts.

If you are looking to build a T20 Tiger Cub from scratch, I could probably supply most parts necessary. I have wheels, fuel tanks, oil tanks, tool boxes, speedometers (even a rev counter), foot pegs, a few engines and many engine components, some gearbox parts, loads of mudguards, lightweight forks, nacelle parts and so much more. (I don’t have any spare heavy duty forks though!)

There are no documents with this frame.  If you are unfamiliar with getting the frame registered, it’s a fairly simple process. The best thing to do is to join the Triumph motorcycle owners club and speak to a nice chap called Richard. He’s currently the Registrar. For a small fee, he will get your bike registered.

Viewing: Please come and check it over before you buy. It is at PE28, near St Ives in Cambridgeshire.

Payment: Good old fashioned money on collection is preferred. I can accept payment through PayPal or by bank transfer as well.

Collection: I have plenty of space. If you can’t collect for a while, it’s not a problem. However, I will need to be paid very soon after the sale. Thanks.
