SOLD – 1976 Honda CB550F 550/4 550 Four motorcyle with V5. New battery. Runs well

Now SOLD. Off to England’s Riviera for a leisurely retirement

A lovely 1976 classic Honda that could be used as it is.

With V5C registration document.

It is registered in the taxation class of “Historic vehicle”, so there is no road tax to pay. Because it is over 40 years old, it is also exempt from needing an MOT certificate.

This CB550F (550 / 4) runs and rides in all gears. It goes around bends and stops. This is a great entry level classic Honda. Use it as it is, or take it apart and completely renovate it. You decide. It has lived and consequently has a few age-related marks, nicks and tears.

However, the tyres are good. The wheel rims are nice and it has a brand new battery fitted.

Please look at the images for condition as there are quite a few little dings and nicks. The seat strap has slightly come away on both sides. The seat cover has a small nick. The fuel tank is original and has a few little bubbles in the paint on one side. There are 2 sets of keys and the ignition, seat lock and petrol lock all work. The main beam switch will need to be looked at. The previous owner seems to have rigged a separate swithch for main beam.

The best thing to do is to come and look at the bike.

You are buying something that you could ride on straight after purchase. However, cosmetically, it’s no garage beauty queen.

It’s certainly cheap enough. For this money you’d normally get to buy a basket case. At least this bike rides and you can see and hear it working.

Viewing: Please come and check it over before you buy. It is at PE28, near St Ives in Cambridgeshire.

Payment: Good old fashioned money on collection is preferred. I can accept payment through PayPal or by bank transfer as well.

Collection: I have plenty of space. If you can’t collect for a while, it’s not a problem. However, I will need to be paid very soon after the sale. Thanks.
