I have a few of these barrels. They vary in condition and bore dimension but all will be offered here.
Condition of the E2958 Close Fin Ali barrels.
Close Fin ali barrels for 500 cc pre-unit Triumph engines are not easy to find in good condition. This particular set has nice fins all round.
I’m asking a reasonable price for these. Only months ago, a set sold on that famous auction site for over £600. I remember paying £360 for a nice set 3 years ago. There are a few places that will sell new liners for these barrels.They are around £50 each. Once you have them fitted, you will have a very nice set of Standard 63mm barrels.
If you want these E2958 Close Fin Ali barrels, and you would like them shipped to you in another country, I am happy to help with shipping the liners too. If you can’t get them where you are, then order them online with a UK supplier. Have them send the liners to me and I will add them in the box for shipping.
The liners that you need are OEM:
- 70-3592.
- Hepolite.
- Bore 2.4803″. (63mm)
Please take a good look at the images. As far as I can see there is just one area that could do with a small ali repair to tidy it up. For a change, it’s not a fin repair. It’s just above the retaining screw for the one of the tappet blocks. An easy repair for someone used to ali welding.
