Norton, Montgomery, Brough, REAR wheel rim & Enfield cush drive hub for flat tank motorcycle

Norton, Montgomery, Brough, REAR wheel rim & Enfield cush drive hub for flat tank motorcycle

£278.00

Norton, Montgomery, George Brough, REAR wheel rim & Enfield cush drive hub for flat tank motorcycle ona 21″ diameter beaded edge rim.
This beaded edge rim is likely for a Norton vintage motorcycle from the mid 1920’s. I am quite sure that it would suit other vintage motorcycles as Enfield held the patent for this type of rear wheel cush drive. They sold the rights of use to many manufacturers. I am advised that pre-’29 Brough’s used a flat sprocket, instead of a dished one. This sprocket is flat.
The rim width is 60mm max (2-3/8″) and about 535mm (21″) diameter.
This rear wheel is 60 spoke, but has no brake rim fitted.
The drive sprocket has 45T and they are still fairly sharp.
The wheel rims are a bit rough but could be used with refurbishment. Both rims will need rebuilding with new spokes.
Finding an original Norton flat tank motorcycle vintage beaded edge wheel to go with your elderly Norton 16H, ES2, Inter, 18 or other model, is a challenge. I have this one available today.
