Pre Unit Triumph Swing arm gearbox with TACHO DRIVE
500cc or 650cc
T120 Bonneville, T100, T110, Thunderbird 6T, TR6 Trophy, 5T Speed Twin.
This is a late pre-unit Swing Arm gearbox for Triumphs. It has the tachometer / rev counter drive fitted.
It is being sold as a gearbox requiring a rebuild as I have not used it.
The shaft thread looks OK and the woodruff key slot is good. The cases are in decent (used) condition. There is no gear indicator and you will need some more outer case fastenings. The frame mounts are good and there are no signs of weld repairs.
The cast # inside is “62” indicating that this is a very late production pre-unit gearbox, cast in 1962. The outer cover # is T411 and the sequential number is shown in the images.
