Triumph 3HW War Department 1942 1943 350cc Engine for rebuild. Most parts are there. Please check the images carefully and ask questions if you have any doubts.
If you’re looking for a war department 3HW Triumph motor, then this is a great opportunity to get one. They don’t come up very often. Many were left in the countries that the 3HW’s were mostly supplied to, such as Greece. Just a set of empty cases seem to fetch a huge amount.
With this engine kit, you get a decent set of cases, crank (E885), Conrod (E1401), Barrel (E1133), Cylinder head with rockers, rocker box and caps. It comes with a Heplex piston +0.060 (Heplex 4537 K51-541AM-405) but no gudgeon pin. There are no pushrods or pushrod tubes. Fins are generally good.
As you can see it has the timing cover (E515) but almost no internals to the timing chest. There are also very few fixings, so the engine is loosely assembled to show its general appearance.
I guess this would also fit a Triumph T80 but you will need to be the judge of that.
The engine number is 432?? . The number is clear but I haven’t published it.
Viewing: Please come and check it over before you buy. It is at PE28, near St Ives in Cambridgeshire.
Shipping: If you don’t see a price, please ask. Thanks. International shipping available.
Payment: Good old fashioned money on collection is preferred. I can accept payment through PayPal or by bank transfer as well.
Taxes: Please note that IMPORT DUTIES are not something I can control. If you are buying from outside the UK, there is a chance that you will have to pay import taxes. Import taxes vary from country to country. If there are charges to pay, it is the buyer’s responsibility to research the cost and pay the duties. The price that you see on my advert is for the item and not the item plus whatever taxes might be due.
I can possibly lower the import tax that you are likely to pay.
Collection: I have plenty of space. If you can’t collect for a while, it’s not a problem. However, I will need to be paid very soon after the sale. Thanks.
