Vintage Royal Enfield timing cover with valve lifter cast number 2355
I believe these were used on JAP engines. In fact, I happen to have a J A Prestwich engine currently fitted with one. They might have been used with Zenith, Calthorpe, Matchless and Excelsior.
I don’t know a lot about these, but I guess they were used in the late 1920’s through to mid thirties.
The cover is in decent condition and comes with the parts as seen.
If you’re missing one of these, it must seem a cheap item to finish your Royal Enfield JAP motor off. If you are lucky enough to already have an engine with one fitted, it makes sense to have a spare.
