WW2 War Department issue 1940s Leather engineer’s tool box / bag
This WD leather tool bag is ideal for any WW2 re-enactment but I just used it as a lovely old leather case for carrying tools and spares on my pre-war motorcycles.
It has the WD kite mark and is also embossed with SE Norris &Co.
It’s useable, but not immaculate. A previous owner wasn’t bothered about moving it when they painted some emulsion as it has some very tiny splatters and a mark caused by a brush stroke.
The handles are well attached but one handle could do with re-stitching just to hole the inner strands in. The fastening still works and it has the original metal lining to the lower section. It’s all held together by the original rivets.
Measures about 34cm long x 16cm deep x 19cm high.
Perfect for sticking a few spares in and strapping onto your rear rack when out on a run.

Shipping: I usually ship to most destinations. If you don’t see a price, please ask. Thanks. International shipping available.
Collection: If you don’t want it shipped, I have plenty of space. If you can’t collect for a while, it’s not a problem. However, I will need to be paid very soon after the sale. Thanks.
Payment: Good old fashioned money on collection is preferred. I can accept payment through PayPal or by bank transfer as well.
Import Taxes: Please note that IMPORT DUTIES are not something I can control. If you are buying from outside the UK, there is a chance that you will have to pay import taxes. Import taxes vary from country to country. If there are charges to pay, it is the buyer’s responsibility to research the cost and pay the duties. The price that you see on my advert is for the item and not the item plus whatever taxes might be due.
