1930s Heavyweight BSA 4 speed hand change gearboxes (pair) Blue Star? Sloper? V-Twin?

I’m not really sure to be honest. Numbers on the case are 15-4117 and 4569 “Birmal”

I’m selling the pair at this price, so this is a very sensible price. I’m including the one that isn’t as clean because it doesn’t turn. It seems to have the clusters in there but it will take a good soaking to free them up. The other one turns ok. I imagine it will still need a rebuild though.

I’m told that these prewar gearbox internals are very similar to the BSA M-series ones but the fork select is a bit thicker. Apparently, these hand-change boxes were introduced in 1932.
