Nice set of 399cc vintage motorcycle matching cases for the Model 5 Raleigh. They might suit the models 7 or 8 Raleigh.
They are approximately dated 1926.
The number stamps are clear and haven’t been altered. The engine number is RT28404, placing it around 1926. Both cases have “R6” clearly stamped.
So, if you have the rest of the parts, or is you think you could do with a spare set of cases for your Model 5 Raleigh, these are priced very sensibly. They area great insurance policy in case you damage yours.
Condition of the Model 5 Raleigh engine cases.
As you can see, I have not cleaned them. They are an original pair of engine cases as the numbers match on the underside. Apart from the weld repair as shown, they appear to be in decent condition.
