Miller’s ‘Rearlite’ rear Carbide lamp

The Miller’s Rearlite is an unusual carbide acetylene rear light. They are not necessarily for vintage motorcycles, but if you fit a red rear lens, they could be used for vintage / veteran / antique motorcycles. I imagine that this lamp might have been used on a vintage steam boat as it came with another lamp that has a red lens.

This Miller’s ‘Rearlite’ rear Carbide lamp is acetylene gas powered and unusual. It is larger than most of the vintage and veteran motorcycle rear lamps. It would suit a sidecar arrangement as the mounting arm will clear a wheel fender / mudguard. The mounting would clamp onto a tubular section and it is supplied with the butterfly knob as shown.

This Miller’s ‘Rearlite’ rear lamp would make an interesting feature on a vintage motorcycle and is offered as an alternative to the usual Lucas, Miller, P&H lamps.
